Julia began to create dolls in childhood. At first she was fond of drawing paper dolls, then made them from colored clay and clay.
Julia graduated from the Abramtsevo Vasnetsov Art and Industrial School, the department of artistic processing of wood, stone and bone.
Initially, the artist did not take seriously her hobby for dolls. However, over time, she realized that this is exactly what she needs and is interesting. Since then, Julia has been creating art dolls and participates in various exhibitions.
The dolls of Yulia Sochilina are made of wood - a warm, natural and labor-intensive material. The characters of the master are beauties of different eras in luxurious historical costumes.
The artist says that she draws inspiration and ideas from literally everywhere: from films, books, and visual arts.
The dolls of Yulia Sochilina are made in a single copy, the clothes for the dolls are sewn of expensive fabrics using antique lace.
