Policeman from Kirov is suspected of bribery in the amount of 16 million rubles
The TFR in the Kirov region opened a criminal case against a law enforcement officer suspected of receiving a large bribe.
According to Interfax with reference to the regional office of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, the suspect is an employee of the economic security and anti-corruption department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Kirov region.
According to the investigation, the policeman agreed with a local entrepreneur about his patronage in exchange for a bribe in the amount of 16.2 million rubles. The suspect promised that he would not conduct procedural checks against the entrepreneur.Also, the man promised to refuse to initiate criminal cases in the event of their receipt.
The first part of the bribe - 1.2 million rubles, the police received in June 2016. He received the remainder the night before, after which he was detained by officers of the regional departments of the FSB and the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
