Original charms do it yourself
Charms are sold now at every turn. Someone wears them with keys, someone with a remote alarm from a car, someone just on jeans, on a loop for a belt ... But it's much more interesting to wear on, say, keys, a keychain made with your own hands. Moreover, it is more pleasant that it exists only in a single copy. Make a good and original keychain can be almost all that lies literally under their feet. I want to share in several ways. Since some of the charms have been around for a long time, and they have a finished look, I will try to set forth the process of their manufacture in as much detail as possible.
The first method is made of metal.
It will take:
- Unnecessary skewer.
- Aluminum wire section of 4-5 millimeters.
- Aluminum (or copper, brass) tube, for example from the antenna.
- Emery machine.
- Felt disc.
- Paste GOI.
- Thin strips of leather, or leatherette.
- Second glue.
Keychain will be in the form of a miniature sword. With sheath.
So, for the beginning we will prepare the basis.Namely: cut off a piece of skewer, ten centimeters long. Next, with the help of an emery machine, we give it an approximate shape of the future sword - we sharpen it at one end, we cut a pin (1.5 - 2 cm) for the handle on the other. Now you need to bring in the middle of the workpiece, along, on both sides, the groove.
I used salt water and a 12 volt power supply for this purpose, varnished the workpiece, put the varnish in the right place with a ruler and a knife, tied it to the workpiece plus, put salt into the salt water and put the workpiece in the same water for ten minutes. Salt water and electricity corroded the areas I needed. But if you don’t want to mess around, you can neatly make the grooves with a cutting wheel, 1 mm thick. and grinder. Now you have to work with a file. For the manufacture of skewers, usually used soft stainless and non-hardened steel. So remove the file cutting edge on the blade is not difficult. Next, cut a piece of 1.5 mm from the wire. Slightly flatten it, drill a hole in the middle, attach the desired shape with a file and put the resulting guard on the pin.
Now cut a thin tube,3-4 mm in length shorter than the remaining pin, we put this tube on it, slightly flatten it so that it becomes oval, and bury the second glue in the tube so that the guard and the handle-tube are stuck to the pin. On the remaining tip of the pin we put some bead or a polished piece of metal, just using the second glue.
The sheath is made of a brass tube from a broken antenna. A tube of suitable diameter, flatten, sharpen one end, under the edge of the sword, glue (or solder) the edges of the resulting triangular tip.
Glue (or solder) the eyelet for the ring and wrap the resulting sheath with a strip of leather in any combination you like.
It remains to process all pasta goy on felt. Keychain ready.
The second option: cartridge-container for oil perfumes
It will take:
- Sleeve cartridge 7.62 × 51
- The threads are internal and external, the diameter of the inner diameter of the sleeve.
- Soldering iron, tin and flux.
- A piece of brass for the bullet cover.
- Flat neodymium magnets 2 pcs.
- Second glue.
To begin, we saw off the neck of the liner. Saw should be the socket itself. So, sawed off the socket socket, now you need to adjust the internal thread to the outlet of the sleeve. To do this, we wind the thread on the pencil and, evenly rotating the pencil, we remove the outer metal layer on the sandpaper to the required diameter. In general, we make so that the internal thread got into the sleeve. Next, we process the thread and the inner surface of the sleeve with flux, insert the thread into the sleeve, align the edges, heat the sleeve with a soldering iron and solder the internal thread to the sleeve.
When the metal of the sleeve reaches the desired temperature, it is enough to simply touch the right place to the right place and it will crawl all over even the thinnest slots. Now we make a bullet cover. To do this, from any suitable piece of copper or brass, cut a cone on a sandpaper, a semblance of a bullet that is suitable for the caliber of the sleeve. Solder to the bullet male thread. Inside the thread on the bullet glue cork from the flask of oil perfume.
Closing the resulting cork perfume. Putting the container with the cone together.
Now we glue one of the magnets to the sleeve cap, and the second to the chain (or cord) with a ring.
This keychain is very like the female half.
The third option is not so time consuming: stone arrowhead
Finding flint is a simple task. This mineral is most often found on the banks of rivers, as well as in pine forests.
If you could not find flint - it does not matter; You can take any, similar in structure, a pebble. We, of course, will not break away pieces from it in order to give it the necessary shape, as primitive people did, especially since with the miniature size we need, it is almost impossible. In our technological age there are easier ways to get the desired result.
It will take:
- A hammer.
- Emery machine.
- Clear nail polish.
- Drill and drill for 3 millimeters.
So, first we will break off a piece of stone, more or less similar to a plate. Now, with the help of an emery machine, with a thin cutting disc, we give the stone the approximate shape of the tip.
Next, you will need a boring machine, with the help of which we grind pieces from a stone plate, in the form of chips. In disarray. In general, we give the appearance of a stone tip.
Next, we drill in the tip of the hole with a drill of 3 millimeters. And finally, we cover the tip with transparent varnish and thread an iron ring or a nylon thread through the hole.
There are many more options and types of homemade trinkets. For example, a flash drive disguised as a cigarette lighter, or a bracelet from sleeves (although this is probably more decoration than keychain ...) Any of these keyrings, due to its uniqueness and originality, will decorate your keys, jeans or remote from car alarm.
