Classical charlotte was invented in the 18th century
You will need a loaf or loaf of wheat bread. If they are a bit stale, then this recipe is not at hand. Remove the crust from the loaf, cut into thin slices.
Melt about 100 grams of butter and carefully dip each slice of bread into it.
Take a small pan, grease its walls with butter inside. Place the bottom and sides soaked in butter in slices of white bread.
Peel a few apples (3-5 pieces), finely chop and fold into another pan. Pour 150 grams of sugar, add a little cinnamon (literally a pinch) and a tablespoon of butter. Simmer on high heat, stirring constantly, until the apples are soft. Put this mass in a saucepan with slices of bread.Cover the top with several more of the same, soaked in oil, slices, and sprinkle with breadcrumbs.

- 1 cup crushed rye crackers
- 3 cups grated stale black bread
- 100 g butter
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 lemon (peel)
- 3 buds cloves
- 1 tbsp. orange candied fruits

- 6-8 apples
- ½ cup white wine
- 30 ml of rum
Mix the rye and black rusks and pour them with melted butter. Stir well, fry in a frying pan, add crushed cloves, cinnamon, half a cup of sugar, half of the cut candied fruits and half of the zest.

Dilute the white wine with water in 1: 1 proportions, boil with the rest of the sugar.
Peel the apples from the core, finely chop, add to the wine syrup and boil for 5-7 minutes. Pour in a glass of rum.

We will consider a simple recipe for charlottes from an unusual angle: cook in a slow cooker. Thus, the dough will rise very well, and you will get a real cake with a diameter of 22 cm and height up to 10 cm.
You will need:
- 5 eggs;
- 1 cup of sugar;
- 5 apples;
- 1 cup flour.
First, prepare the apples: peel them from the skin and cores, chop them, put them in the dishes and sprinkle with lemon juice.
Some like to add more apples to the charlotte. Do not overdo it so that all the dough does not remain in the intervals between the pieces. You can also not peel the apples, because in the process of cooking it becomes soft and fragrant.
Whisk the eggs over the same foam. To whip it was easier, pre-cool the eggs and add a pinch of salt to them.
Continuing to beat, gradually add sugar until it dissolves completely. After that, add a spoonful of flour, stirring thoroughly, so that no lumps remain. The dough should turn out like a thick sour cream consistency.

Lubricate the multicooker pan with oil and pour a little dough, spreading it so as to cover the bottom and part of the walls with a small rim. The thickness of the dough will be about 0.5 cm.
Put the apples, top with the remaining dough and shake a little (but not to such an extent that the apple slices and dough are mixed!). You can add another layer of apples.
Turn on the baking mode on the multicooker, set the time - 60 minutes. While the charlotte is being cooked, do not lift the lid so that the dough does not opal in the process. The more apples you have, the more time you may need for baking. After turning off the charlotte should be left in a slow cooker for another 10 minutes, and after that get out of the pan.
