Folk remedies and compresses

At home, observe safety measures when applying compresses so that they do not fall on the nipple. After use, wash your breasts thoroughly so that the baby does not “eat” the medical preparation.

Do not use the methods of traditional medicine, where you are offered warming compresses. It is very dangerous for the chest and can only aggravate the inflammatory process.

Cabbage leaf It is considered the easiest and most effective way. Cabbage relieves swelling and inflammation.
  • Cabbage leaf slightly wrinkled in the hands and attach to the breast under a bra for 2-3 hours;
  • After the sheet dries, it is replaced by another.
Cottage cheese cake Apply it on the affected area of ​​the breast, cover it with a bandage on top and hold for one and a half to two hours. Cottage cheese well removes puffiness and heat.
Chamomile lotions
  • Brew chamomile: 200 ml of boiling water 2 tbsp. herbs;

Chamomile dulls pain and inflammation.

Honey compress
  • Add flour to honey, so that the consistency is like that of plasticine. In this form, honey is convenient to apply to the skin;
  • Leave on a chest for an hour.

Honey will help remove redness on the skin.

Potato wrap
  • Grate the potatoes and apply to the reddened chest;
  • Compress wash off in an hour.
Flax seed compress
  • Brew flax seeds: 100 ml of boiling water 1 tsp. seeds;

Compress of Magnesia
  • Magnesia is taken in ampoules (2-3 pieces), poured into a container and moistened with a piece of gauze;

Compress with Dimexide The drug is poured on a gauze and applied to the inflamed area for 30-40 minutes.
Camphor oil compress We moisten a piece of cloth with oil and apply to the diseased chest for 20-30 minutes. Camphor oil is not warm, but applied at room temperature.

Compress can only be done in the absence of elevated body temperature and at the initial stage of the disease.
