As reported by the Rostec State Corporation on September 8, 2018, during the Gidroaviasalon-2018 exhibition, subsidiaries of the Rostec State Corporation - Russian Helicopters JSC, the National Air Ambulance Service (NCCA) and Aviacapital-Service LLC - signed 104 helicopters Ansat "and 46 Mi-8AMT in medical equipment. The arrangements for the supply of helicopters will be implemented as part of a large-scale project of Rostec State Corporation to create a Unified Operator of Sanitary Aviation services in the Russian regions. In the presence of Denis Manturov, Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia, the document was signed by Andrei Boginsky, Director General of Russian Helicopters,Ruslan Golik, Director General of the National Air Ambulance Service (NCCA) and Roman Pakhomov, Director General of AviaCapital-Service.
“The development of air ambulance is one of the priorities of the national Healthcare project. Rostec is implementing a comprehensive project in this area, which provides for the creation of a specialized air ambulance service, providing it with aircraft, as well as building the necessary ground infrastructure. Especially for the NCCA, 150 helicopters will be manufactured and delivered - a record amount of order in the interests of air ambulance. Investments in the project exceed 40 billion rubles. The set of measures implemented by us will allow the new service to effectively solve the tasks related to saving lives, ”said Sergey Chemezov, Director General of the Rostec State Corporation, when signing the contract.
Last year, Rostec State Corporation took the initiative to create in Russia a Unified Sanitary Aviation System, which was supported by the President of Russia. The purpose of the National Air Ambulance Service is to carry out aerial work with the aim of providing medical care according to a single standard in the 24/7 format.The project is financed by Aviacapital-Service, which purchases helicopter equipment and transfers it to the National Air Ambulance Service on financial leasing for 15 years.
The National Air Ambulance Service is already transporting emergency victims in St. Petersburg, Moscow, Leningrad, Sverdlovsk, Novgorod regions and the Republic of Karelia.
As part of the contract at Gidroaviasalon, the NCCA hosted the first medical helicopter Mi-8AMT, equipped with the necessary medical equipment to provide emergency resuscitation assistance on board the helicopter, including a ventilator system, a tele-ECG, and a real-time cardiogram.
